Ultra Graphics, a print and marketing firm with locations in Billings and Bozeman, has received the 2018 Benny Award. This is the highest honor in the Printing Industries of America’s (PIA) Premier Print Awards Competition. Ultra Graphics won in the Industrial Printing category for their Rocky Mountain College Human Performance Lab Airstream Wrap.
The airstream trailer wrap was designed and installed in-house by the Ultra Graphics design and large format team. The artwork was inspired by a previous large-scale wall graphic completed for the athletics department at Rocky Mountain College. The traveling lab helps students explore the opportunities for guided work experiences with schools, hospitals, sports medicine clinics, wellness centers, corporate fitness programs, and fitness facilities.
According to the PIA, to win Best of Category (the Benny), the entry must be flawless. Given this high standard, the judges do not always award a Benny in every category. As the world’s most prominent international print competition, this year’s submissions came from all over North America, China, Indonesia, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates. More than 2,000 entries were submitted for judging and 127 were chosen to receive the coveted Benny, a bronze statuette of Benjamin Franklin. In addition to the statuette, winners are displayed on the PIA’s website and featured in the Premier Print Awards supplement, which is mailed to 10,000 print buyers. Winners are also invited to attend the 2018 Premier Print Awards Gala.
“I am, as always, proud to recognize the amazing work the Ultra Graphics team produces for our customers, and we are all thrilled to see that recognition on a worldwide scale,” said Jake Eaton, owner of Ultra Graphics.
