Montana residents get the most return on their property taxes in Carbon County according to a recent report from SmartAsset, a financial technology company. The study analyzed local school ratings and crime rates to see where people were getting the most return on their property taxes.

Caron County’s property tax rate is .61 percent and rated an overall value index of 98.57.

Blain County was ranked second, followed by Madison, Jefferson, Beaverhead, Teton, Park, Stillwater, Fergus, and Broadwater.
