Results of research on Montana’s tax structure will be the focus of the program Montana Chamber of Commerce’s Annual meeting. Creating an optimal business climate that is ripe for investment requires a balanced tax structure. The Montana Chamber Foundation has partnered with the State Tax Research Institute (STRI), a subsidiary of the Council on State Taxation, to conduct a study to analyze tax reform options in terms of revenue and business tax competitiveness impacts. Robert Cline and Tom Neubig of STRI will present initial findings on October 26 at the Chamber’s annual meeting. This research stems from Envision 2026, a ten-year strategic plan for Montana’s future.  The event will also feature a breakfast with U.S. Congressional candidate Greg Gianforte; as keynote speaker. Additional seminars on infrastructure and workforce; and keynote luncheon with Bob Rowe, President/CEO of NorthWestern Energy will also be held. All events will take place at the Clarion Inn Copper King Convention Center in Butte. REGISTRATION: $70/person with a $10 discount for Montana Chamber members can be made at https:// www. montanachamber. com/ event- registration/ 2018- montana- chamber- of-commerce- annual- meeting/
