With 592 active apprenticeship programs in Montana, and 1.57 out of every 1,000 Montanans involved in apprenticeship programs, apprenticeships are a direct pipeline for workforce issues. The Montana Chamber of Commerce will present a panel, on Oct. 26 in Butte, to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities in workforce development; career and technical education; and implementation of unique ways to solve workforce needs and satisfy demand.  The event is part of the Chamber’s annual meeting. The Montana Chamber of Commerce will hit the road for its 2018 Montana Business Agenda (MBA) tour heading for the Montana Hi-Line and eastern Montana. The MBA tour provides an opportunity for input by Chamber members, as well as updates from the state chamber, including a review of the Chamber’s 10-yeara strategic plan – Envision 2026. The tour will come to Billings on Thursday, Oct. 18, 7:30 – 8:30 am at the Billings Chamber of Commerce (rolls and coffee will be served). Other stops include Havre, Sidney, Miles City, Glendive, Glasgow and Lewistown.
 
Concerned Veterans for America Foundation and Bridge to Wellbeing will host, “Want to Become a Vetrepreneur?”, a workshop for aspiring veteran entrepreneurs. Montana Vetreprenuers Tim Donahue and Troy Downing will speak at the event which will be held in Billings on Oct. 20, 12-5 pm, Prescott Hall at Rocky Mountain College. A free lunch will be provided.
